At St Matthew’s we strongly encourage members of the congregation to join a Home Group.
A Home Group is a small group of church members (about 8 or 10 people) who meet together mid-week often in someone’s home – hence the name.
There are about 10 different Home Groups at St Matthew’s. Some meet weekly, others fortnightly. The meetings are usually about 90 minutes and combine
- Bible study (often linked to the sermon from the preceding Sunday)
- Prayer, and
- support for one another in the group.
The aim of a Home Group is to deepen our relationship with God and each other.
